I had a nice long conversation with Mr. James today.

During that time I realized that the reason I want to go to brand name college isn’t that I believe it necessarily has a better education or better support.

Nope.

I want to go to a brand name college because I want to show up my friends and keep up a good rep.

    yes, some good colleges don’t necessarily have better support and education… but seriously, you are pretty much guaranteed to get more support at an ivy than at CAL… iono, plus side is you get to chill with friends… last thing is the obvious: ivy league diploma=better paying job

    The support thing is totally true though. Just look at average class sizes at stanford compared to berkeley. I dunno, call me old fashioned but I think your teacher or professor should personally get to know you.

    LMAO elise is too right…. major in math and say goodbye not only to a future but to sanity. also peter might wanna make use of his apparently godlike cr skills and notice that i said the thing about ivy=jobs and not wayne… but yes, its all about the connections, and if u wanna learn something not directly from the book, then u want a professor that cares about u and not just his/her research…
