the crowd in the background blared, getting twice as loud with every heartbeat.
“FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT”
i stood there facing the goliath. it stood proud, smirking with the most disgusting of smirks, a naturally twisted face.
every step it made rocked the earth, every breath it let out was a typhoon against my skin.
the rain started, a rain not of serrated liquid, it was a rain of light, of perfection.
the giant throbbed its arms, a conglomerate of unknown proteins, and stumbled towards me.
i was dazed, confused, by the augurous light. every moment sinking deeper in the mud, further from happiness, deeper into its grasp, deeper into death.
